Dumont has bus transportation bringing you either to the Manhattan Terminal or the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal, as well as local transportation around Northern New Jersey. They also have a town swim club. In addition to its’ amenities, they have community activities such as 5k’s, parades, Dumont Day, free passes to the local zoo, street fairs, etc. It is a wonderful town to be apart of.
There are ample schooling systems in the town with 4 elementary schools and 1 high school, all attaining very high performance levels compared to schools across the state. Beginning with Honiss Elementary School, they have grades ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade. Grant School caters to Kindergarten children up to 5th grade. Charles A. Selzer Elementary ranges from Kindergarten to 8th grade as well. And lastly, Lincoln Elementary School is Kindergarten to 5th grade. Leaving us with Dumont High School. Holding an impressive city wide performance rating, this is a beautiful school to enroll your children in, All of these public schools are within walking distance. The schools mentioned have all acquired ratings between 7 to 10, ensuring the best education for your family.
