Can you believe it is August already?! Summer is coming to and end which means the ideal window weather for home projects is slowly closing! In spirit, we came up with some quick last minute ways to upgrade your home before the snow comes.
Painting
Nothing keeps a room looking as clean or crisp than a fresh coat of paint. This is quite an overlooked part of all homes. You won’t find yourself going crazy trying to clean everything- see the difference this makes.
Siding
This next one may seem like a lot of work, but the best way to upgrade your home- especially if you plan on selling it, would be to add some new siding. Even if this upgrade isn’t for curb appeal, it will definitely make you proud to come home to!
Decks or Patios
A little more on the time sensitive side… add a deck or patio. Patios are a fantastic alternative to breaking the bank on an entire deck. And even better, there are endless do-it-yourself videos on how to get started. One that we like can be found here.
Kitchen Updates
Kitchen updates don’t have to mean getting a brand new counter top. Small changes can make the biggest difference. Buy some new cabinet knobs or put in some fresh shelves in your pantry, or repaint and clean up from all the grease!
Basement
Having a finished basement brings more value to your home if you are looking to sell and it can bring your family together in a whole new room. It can be as simple as moving over some boxes and creating a TV room for the kids.
Landscaping
Landscaping can bring the greatest difference to the outside of your home. Planting a few flowers and shrubs is a great way to bring your home back to life.
